IN THE CLUBHOUSE

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

WHERE DOES ALL THE MONEY GO?

Sometimes we have a little grumble about subscrtiption costs, green fees, match day fees etc. What do we do with it all?

Well, we are a non profit making organisation, so it must go somewhere.....

It does. The upkeep of the green is a major expense, we have electricity bills, water rates, insurance premiums. Every season we have to pay to register all our playing members, we have to pay for all the competitions we enter as a club, Bowls England, Bucks Bowls, Bletchley & District. For example, to enter four teams in the County League cost £72. There are always things that need replacing in and around the clubhouse.......the list goes on.

So, we have to be careful with the pennies and that's why we are so grateful for those that give their time on a voluntary basis to help whenever they can.

It's our club, and we have to look after it!

TIRED OF TRAVELLING MILES OR SHOPPING ONLINE?

'Swifty' says he's found a shop in Stony Stratford (opposite Castle's DIY) that is supplying bowling clothing and equipment, and run by very nice, helpful people.

Worth a look, methinks!

THE SEASON'S FINALE ended with a win for the Ladies over the Men

84-71. a fitting closure on a glorious afternoon and enjoyed by all that attended.
